Rubber does not come from Amazon trees species and producers do not destroy primeval forests or rare tree species. The cushion manufacturing process is sustainably oriented. To obtain cork, the oak tree does not need to be cut down, but only the surface layer of the bark is cut from the tree.
This layer is renewed in 15-20 years. Cork farmers take good care of the oak trees, nurture them and allow them to grow unhindered. To preserve the hygiene and lifespan of the yoga mat, take care of regular maintenance with cleaners.
Yoga mats made of natural rubber, rubber need special care. After all, rubber is a natural material, a "living" material. External factors affect such yoga mats much more. How to clean a cork yoga mat
After exercise, dry the pillow, spread it out on the floor or hang it up to dry completely before rolling it up. Cork is a natural material and has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. It contains the substance suberin (waxy substance), which makes it resistant to fire and water. Cork is a great natural insulator. In case of very frequent use, regular cleaning (once a week) is recommended. The cork can darken in individual parts or the pillow gets darker stains.

What is the trend in yoga? Does it even matter?
To some extent it is. This often accelerates the development of new materials, new practices. Until recently, yoga mats were in pretty boring colors. One of the first to launch yoga mats with prints was prAna.Their E.C.O. Henna yoga mat is still one of the globally best-selling yoga mats. Manduka's yoga mats are also quite colorful last seasons. But the downside - this material does not offer excellent grip. The material is basically even slippery. This is great for anyone who sweats a lot, as wet, moist microfiber offers excellent grip.
